Cerebellopontine angle lymphoma.

چکیده
Lymphoma of the central nervous system is uncommon, accounting for approximately 0.2-2% of all brain tumors [17] . Numerous descriptions of the CT appearance of primary and secondary lymphomas have been published [1-16]; however, to our knowledge, lymphoma presenting as a homogeneously enhancing, cerebellopontine angle mass has been reported only once before [13]. We reviewed our experience with intracranial lymphomas and discovered three more cases with this radiologic appearance.

Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma presenting as Garcin’s Syndrome
An 80 year old man presented with a twelve month history of progressive multiple unilateral cranial nerve palsies. A gadolinium enhanced MRI scan of his head and neck was performed. This showed an extra-axial enhancing lesion, which enveloped the hemi-mandible at the level of the left inferior alveolar nerve, and a dumbbell shaped lesion within the cerebellopontine angle. An incisional biopsy w...

We present an unusual case of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma within pontocerebellar angle schwannoma in 62-year-old woman. The patient suffered for 5 months with V, VII and VIII nerves paresis and with cerebellar ataxia. CT scan demonstrated large hyperdensive mass in cerebellopontine angle translocating cerebellar hemisphere and cerebral trunk. The patient was subjected to surgery and the tumou...
متن کاملAn uncommon case of lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma in cerebellopontine angle region
In the central nervous system, cerebellopontine angle (CPA) lymphomas are rare; few cases have been reported. Lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma (LPL) in the CPA is rarer still, and often misdiagnosed as acoustic neuroma. We report a rare case of CPA LPL-a challenging diagnosis guided by clinical presentations, radiological signs, and postoperative pathological test.A 43-year-old woman presented with he...
متن کاملDiffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the cerebellopontine angle in a patient with sudden hearing loss and facial palsy.
Primary lymphoma of the cerebellopontine angle (CPA) is rare in the central nervous system. To our knowledge, there have only been 14 cases reported worldwide so far. Here, we report our findings in a 57-year-old man, who presented with bilateral sudden hearing loss followed by left facial palsy within 1 month. Radiologic study and magnetic resonance imaging showed a homogeneous enhancing mass,...
متن کاملCerebellopontine angle tumours: radiologic-pathologic correlation and diagnostic difficulties.
A group of 119 cases of cerebellopontine angle (CPA) tumours was studied looking at the pathological composition, relative incidence of tumour types, their radiological features and the pathological-radiological correlations. Tumours with preoperative radiological diagnosis and verified pathologically were analyzed. Histopathologically the material consisted of 77 schwannomas and 42 non-acousti...
